Greater Ease And Comfort In Your Life
The most common “symptom” that we hear from our clients is that everyday things just feel “too hard.” Most of our clients are looking to feel more comfortable in their bodies, accomplish daily routines with greater ease, and connect more deeply with those around them.
See real change happen in real time.
We don’t believe in endless therapy. Most clients see recognizable change within 4 weeks and significant change in 6-12 months. At SensoryWellness we monitor progress on a regular basis as a collaborative effort with each client to ensure that we are continuously moving forward on your journey.

“The therapists at SensoryWellness are the rare ones who view adults with SPD to be just as receptive to therapy as children with SPD. They understand our population’s particular needs. As a middle-aged adult, I had been exhibiting multiple conditions related to SPD for most of my life, but never really understood the connections until I found SensoryWellness and had been evaluated. My primary needs were to navigate, and thrive through, the complicated and fast-paced interactions of my stressful job, and to address several physical symptoms of my SPD. I’m really happy to say that my therapy goals have been achieved, and my quality of life is much better. Thank you!”
“Our OT’s ability to assess my son’s challenges and help him overcome them has been very impressive. She was excellent at pinpointing his weaknesses and how to strengthen them, all while making him feel like he is the center of the universe! In just a matter of months my son’s physical and emotional health has improved tremendously!”
“In early 2018, I found myself struggling with the surfacing of traumatic memories related to my childhood. For most of my life, I had been extremely sensitive to touch, sound and smell, highly reactive, and hypervigilant. My daughters were afraid of touching me, for fear that I would react angrily. As I disclosed pieces of my narrative to various individuals, a local school psychologist recommended Danielle and SensoryWellness, touting the benefits of occupational therapy.
Throughout our relationship, Danielle was compassionate and exceptionally present with my emotions and the responses of my body. Her gentle method involved tapping various parts of my body to reduce the heightened level of sensation that I was experiencing. Further exercises involved teaching me to recognize my body’s relationship to space, to gain comfort with losing the ground beneath me, and to strengthen my reflexes to develop a sense of personal agency and self-defense. Danielle’s efforts helped me to release the emotional pain that was being held deep within my body. No matter the circumstance or the memory that I was processing, Danielle kept me anchored in the present, providing a safe space in which my body could heal.
I am privileged to have spent more than fifteen months working with Danielle. I am considerably less sensitive to external stimuli, happier and more content in my own body than I have ever been in my life. I enjoy a beautiful, healthy relationship with my family which includes lots of hugs. My daughters often try to tickle me. Since I no longer react as I used to, they often smile and acknowledge “what a good job Danielle did!”
Danielle’s empathy, presence, knowledge, and unwavering support were instrumental in saving my life. I am so very glad to have been referred to SensoryWellness and I remain grateful for Danielle’s care.”
“I came to SensoryWellness to address some physical and sensory issues that I was having. The thorough evaluation at my first visit helped me to understand the relationship between my history of anxiety, trauma, and PTSD with the physical symptoms that I was experiencing. I had been to many capable and empathetic mental health professionals who helped me a great deal, but despite considerable progress, I did not reach home plate. I then understood that in order to continue my work in that area, I would first have to address the physical issues.
I can’t believe the difference after a year of regular sessions at SensoryWellness. Their mind-body approach turned my life around – I am a changed person not only from a physical perspective, but from an emotional perspective as well!
Along the way, it was suggested that I meet with David, the integrative nutritionist on staff, to address systemic issues that I was facing. Again, I am happy to report substantive improvement. The team has had a real positive effect on my life. It has been empowering for me and I have tremendous gratitude to SensoryWellness for giving me a new lease on my life.“
“Our therapist’s high level of skill and expertise, years of experience, and professionalism, along with her positive, friendly nature all come together to create the ideal occupational therapist that has been such a blessing for us. Initially our daughter was shy and hesitant but the therapist’s warm and comfortable personality put her at ease right away. She warmed up and looked forward to her sessions. With this backdrop of trust and comfort, my daughter has been able to more effectively work toward and achieve targeted sensory goals. As a parent, I get to observe firsthand our therapist’s competence as an occupational therapist as well as her warm and caring nature that endears her to all.”
