Regulation & Resilience classes focus on improving health and restoring balance within our physical selves. The classes are designed to improve mood, clarity of thinking, and ability to function as confident and resilient individuals.

The exercises and breathing techniques used in these classes were developed using the latest research in neuroscience. They activate pathways in the brain and body that naturally restore and maintain physical and emotional balance.

How The Classes Work

  • Total of 8 sessions in each class. Total cost is $250.
  • Classes meet twice weekly for four consecutive weeks.
  • Each class meets for 45 minutes.
  • All classes meet remotely over Zoom

  • Classes are kept small – 4-8 participants.
  • Classes are for women and teenage girls

  • All instructors are experienced occupational therapists.

  • Therapists available for questions and private consultation.

Regulation & Resilience Basic Class

This class is the foundation on which the others are built. In this class you will learn how your own neurological system works. You will learn techniques and strategies that work for you personally to achieve a state of calm and balance.

The class is slow in nature. The emphasis is on helping your body adjust to feel more relaxed. The exercises are designed to help you feel both calm in the moment and carry over to “reset” your body to a more relaxed state.

You will learn simple exercises and techniques that can be used to manage physical and emotional stress, regulate breathing patterns, improve quality of sleep, feel more calm and relaxed, and strengthen your immunity.

Grounding & Stability Class

Balance, grounding, and centering is the focus of this class. You will learn to become more present in your body, maintain greater focus, and improve balance in both the physical and emotional realms.

Class participants report feeling more centered, resilient and confident, and experience a greater ability to make decisions.

Flexibility and Transitioning Class

In this class we work on improving flexibility in body, thoughts, and emotions. You will learn to more comfortably transition focus and attention from one daily task to another and decrease rigidity in your movements and thought patterns. You will develop greater skill in shifting off your “center” to attend to other people and tasks within your day, and then back to your “center” of balance with ease and confidence.

Class participants report feeling more ease in transitioning from one task to another, feel more confident in new environments and with new people, and experience more flexibility and adaptability when faced with stressful situations.
